The pitch
Talyfada's combat is reading, not stat-checking. You watch the opponent's swing wind up, you choose when to interrupt, dodge, parry, or commit. The numbers under the hood matter — but two players at the same gear level fight at the level of their attention, not their inventory.
What this means in practice
- Non-target action: skills aim where you're looking, not at a locked-on bar
- Quarter-view camera: lets you read the whole engagement, not just one opponent
- Server-authoritative: the server decides who hit whom. No client-side prediction cheats
- Stamina + cast time: every action commits you. The cost of being wrong is real
What this is not
- Not tab-target. Not turn-based. Not action-RPG button-mashing.
- Not "skill > gear" as a slogan — the gear gap matters, but the skill gap matters more.
What's still being tuned
The reading system, hitbox sizes, dodge i-frames, and stamina economy are all in active iteration. Closed Beta participants will see this shift week-to-week.
